There are always four lines, with specific sequences for specific Artifacts that you can unlock. The codes combinations in which the different Artifacts are written are lines of squares, diamonds, circles and triangles. To unlock each artifact you will need a separate code. The code is a 3×3 grid of circles, triangles, and diamonds carved on a stone.
There are approx 16 artifacts in Risk of Rain 2. you will have to search the levels for hidden codes.
